Getting Software Updates

You can obtain software updates manually or automatically. For information about getting them automatically, refer to Update Software in System Wide Settings (3.7.12).

Use the following procedure to manually obtain software updates from Thunderstone. You are able to select which updates you want, if any.

Note: if you need to use a proxy to access the internet, please see the Software Update Settings (3.7.12) in System Wide Settings.

• At main menu, click System, System Setup, then Update Software.

• A list of available updates is presented. Check the boxes for updates that you want to download from Thunderstone, and click Yes. The updates are downloaded to the Parametric Search Appliance, but they are not installed yet.

• The selected packages are listed for verification. Click Yes to install the updates.

• When the installation is completed, a message indicates that updates are completed.
