After Parametric Search queries - infield:, SQL, or Group By - have been set or decided upon, performance issues should be considered. This primarily involves the creation of additional indexes, via the Index Fields, Compound Index Fields, and Extra Indexes settings (on the All Walk Settings page). An index in this context means a SQL index that speeds up certain types of queries on the walk data; it does not refer to walking the profile itself.
Due to the wide variety of query possibilities, the standard search index that is created for text keyword searches may not always be the most efficient for Parametric Search queries. Sometimes either the main search index should be modified, or an entirely new index created. Whether to create a new index, modify an existing one, or neither, depends on the nature of the queries to be executed, the types of indexes possible, and the specific search data.
