Parametric Search expands the capabilities of a profile by allowing more advanced searches on attributes other than plain text or keywords, such as numeric, date and even geographic data. Users can thus not only search for text that matches their requirements, but also price, date, quantity, location etc. - almost anything you can assign an attribute to. This allows search customization to your unique requirements and data set.
Setting up a parametric search involves several steps: defining fields at profile creation, populating the fields with data, determining search queries, and creating indexes for performance.
